Eat right without dieting

Does it feel like you are always counting calories, watching fat and carb intake or reading labels? While those are all important factors in maintaining a healthy diet, it seems almost impossible-and a little tedious- to do every time you want to eat something. There are, however, a few tips that you can do daily to take some of the work out of trying to eat healthy.
1. Give yourself time to eat and feel full:
It takes about 20 minutes for your body to register signs of satiety. Try to make your meal last 20 minutes start to finish. During that time, take smaller bites, chew your food thoroughly, and be sure to sit and relax. People who eat too quickly are more likely to be overweight than people who take their time eating. If after 20 minutes you still feel hungry, then go back for a small portion of seconds or even better, drink a large glass of water or another non-calorie beverage.
2. Don’t “ban” certain foods:
Instead of focusing on foods that you should not eat, make an effort to include healthy, nutritious foods. Read more
