Our Baby, A Gift Of Life

Dr. Rob Success Story, CNY Fertility Center
Thanks to you, our baby decided to make a presence, and give us a gift of life!

As you know, on April 25th 2008 Jayden Thom came into this world at 8:17pm. He was determined to see this world and have a presence on earth. Our little “peanut” “sugarlove” couldn’t have made this entry without you and all of your caring, patient staff at CNY Fertility Center. I always said, that there was a child out there waiting for us, and it was up to the Gods’ (Good Orderly Direction) will, that the child would come through me or to us through adoption. I guess having that kind of open mind, and knowing that, “we” as a family have so much to offer, you made it possible to make our come dream true!!

Take care, and God bless for all that you have done. We plan to come back and perhaps have another success story to share with you and your staff.

Peace, love, and happiness.

P.S It was nice to finally meet Geronimo… what a connection!

Second Chances

Dr. Rob's Success Stories at CNY Fertility Center
I visited CNY Fertility Center last year in the hopes of becoming pregnant after having a tubal ligation. The decision to have a tubal came after a very unhealthy first marriage, and the subsequent feeling that I would not have more children. But…after I recovered from the emotional aspects of such a relationship, I realized that I wanted more children. I knew it was important to my current partner, and important for me, to be able to have the pregnancy experience that involved love & partnership. However, I still had the limitations of the very physical decision I had made.

We completed one cycle in December 2008 with a few bumps in the road. It did not seem as though my eggs would mature in time for the holiday, but thankfully they did. Then, we got into a car accident on the way to our implantation. Two embryos were implanted, and both took. But, in our 13th week, we lost one of the babies. However, it was that December 24th, 2008 that our now son, Brody Steven was successfully implanted, and it was on August 30, 2009 that he was born.

While I thought there was only one more pregnancy in our future, I am hopeful that the CNY team will be able to make our dream come true one more time!

I am so thankful to be able to have the opportunity to go on this journey with a new child, my partner, and my two older children. I cannot extend enough thanks to the staff, or Dr. Grossman, who met me, and helped me on that snowy, scary Christmas Eve day. Thank you & see you again, soon!

If not for Dr. Rob

CNY Fertility Success Story
If it wasn’t for Dr. Rob looking outside the box and telling me not to give up, on what seemed to be the impossible, then my mornings would not consist of the beautiful smile that melts my heart when I walk into my daughter’s room. I would not have those little “strong” arms grabbing me around my neck to hug me. I wouldn’t hear the squeals of laughter from down the hall as she let’s me know “Mommy, I am awake now.” I thank God everyday for this precious gift to my life. I thank CNY Fertility for giving me the only chance I would have had to be a Mom. The staff made me feel like they knew me my entire life from day one and It was hard to say goodbye. I will always be grateful to you all! Especially Chris for listening to me and helping me when I needed someone the most. I have learned through this that if there is even the slightest chance, giving up should not be an option! You just have to believe it can happen, visualize it, dream it, and without doubt you will achieve it.

Miracles do happen – Jessica

June 4, 2009 by Dr. Rob

One year ago, I was not truly believing that I was pregnant. It had already been a long and trying road before I had that positive beta. We had lost 2 pregnancies in the 5 years prior. After trying for several years, Dr. Kiltz started me with gonal-f after I did not respond to clomid or femera. Gonal-f and an IUI with prometrium, lovenox, and several other medications got us to a positive beta. I didn’t believe that it would “stick”. My friends, both from real life and online, kept positive thoughts for me.

In January of 2009, we welcomed our son into our lives. He is the light of our life, and we thank Dr. Kiltz and the staff at CNY Fertility Center in Syracuse, NY for helping to bring him to us.

The emotional roller coaster

May 28, 2009 by Dr. Rob

At the ripe age of 18 I found out that I would never be able to conceive a child naturally. I never really understood how much of an impact that would have in my life until I finally settled down and wanted to start a family of my own. I never really understood the struggle that I was going to go through.

Here’s my journey:

I went thru, 3 Fresh IVF cycles & 4 Frozen all failed.

I had such high hopes with each and every stage. I was emotionally connected to each follicle, embryo and blastocyst. They were all my babies! I had names for each and every one of the surviving blastocysts. I had dreams of doing things with them; raising them, going to the park, teaching them to walk, hugging them and telling them I loved them. I would hang the picture of the blastocysts on the refrigerator and would talk to them everyday and say “I love you” before heading out the door for work. The devastation I felt upon receiving the negative pregnancy results was always unbearable. I felt that my dreams and hopes of being a Mother was taken away (yet again) with every negative result and my chances of becoming a mother was slipping through my fingers. What had I done wrong? What could I have done different? Why me? Why couldn’t I be one of the lucky few? Then the anger would set it in. Although it was an unfortunate thing to have to receive this devastating news, the only thing that kept me going and gave me some kind of hope was knowing that I had some frosties on ice (term used in IVF for embryo cryopreservation). This emotional roller coaster was going down hill but it would soon climb up again (I would tell myself). I wasn’t ready to get off this ride.

After changing clinics, I met with Dr. Kiltz at CNY Fertility. During my consultation I explained my journey (3 Fresh IVF cycles & 4 Frozen all failed) he asked if he could examine me (right then and there!!!). After my examination, he explained that my fallopian tubes may be full of hydrosolpinx (spelling?) and that could be the reason why the embryo’s weren’t sticking. He wanted to check and make sure: if his theory was correct, he would suggest removing my tubes and going through another fresh cycle with CNY Fertility.

Removing my tubes was the best thing he could have ever done for me. Not only do I no longer suffer from painful menstruation periods, my very next fresh (4th IVF) cycle resulted in a live birth.

Dream come true

May 28, 2009 by Dr. Rob

A little over a year and a half ago, My husband and I didn’t think we were going to be able to have children. After many months of waiting and being referred to a clinic in NYC, we decided to visit CNY Fertility Center and Dr. Kiltz. Within 4 months I underwent IVF and soon after found out I was pregnant. Everyone at the fertility center helped to make our dreams come true. On March 30th , I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Thank you to all who made this a success story. We look forward to coming back next year to try for another bundle of joy.
