Our Journey

January 7, 2010 by Dr. Rob

We have been trying to figure out the words to express our gratitude we have for Dr. Kiltz and his whole staff up at CNY Fertility. I have never met such friendly caring staff, they made me feel very positive about everything and were truly some of the nicest people I have come across. I was referred to Dr.Kiltz from my OB/GYN after laparoscopic surgery determined I had stage 4 endometriosis. In November of 2008, I started with injections of Lupron and Gonal F for IVF. The first round did not work out, my levels were too high so we had to wait a month and then try again, this time it worked. Nine eggs were retrieved and only one worked, so on February 14, 2009 the ONE was transfered and on February 25th I had my confirmed pregnancy. On October 30th I had my beautiful 7 lb 8 oz baby girl. I could never fully express the thanks I have for everyone at CNY. But thank you Dr. Rob and everyone for all your help and support!

Our Baby, A Gift Of Life

November 19, 2009 by Dr. Rob

Dr. Rob Success Story, CNY Fertility Center
Thanks to you, our baby decided to make a presence, and give us a gift of life!

As you know, on April 25th 2008 Jayden Thom came into this world at 8:17pm. He was determined to see this world and have a presence on earth. Our little “peanut” “sugarlove” couldn’t have made this entry without you and all of your caring, patient staff at CNY Fertility Center. I always said, that there was a child out there waiting for us, and it was up to the Gods’ (Good Orderly Direction) will, that the child would come through me or to us through adoption. I guess having that kind of open mind, and knowing that, “we” as a family have so much to offer, you made it possible to make our come dream true!!

Take care, and God bless for all that you have done. We plan to come back and perhaps have another success story to share with you and your staff.

Peace, love, and happiness.

P.S It was nice to finally meet Geronimo… what a connection!

Second Chances

November 19, 2009 by Dr. Rob

Dr. Rob's Success Stories at CNY Fertility Center
I visited CNY Fertility Center last year in the hopes of becoming pregnant after having a tubal ligation. The decision to have a tubal came after a very unhealthy first marriage, and the subsequent feeling that I would not have more children. But…after I recovered from the emotional aspects of such a relationship, I realized that I wanted more children. I knew it was important to my current partner, and important for me, to be able to have the pregnancy experience that involved love & partnership. However, I still had the limitations of the very physical decision I had made.

We completed one cycle in December 2008 with a few bumps in the road. It did not seem as though my eggs would mature in time for the holiday, but thankfully they did. Then, we got into a car accident on the way to our implantation. Two embryos were implanted, and both took. But, in our 13th week, we lost one of the babies. However, it was that December 24th, 2008 that our now son, Brody Steven was successfully implanted, and it was on August 30, 2009 that he was born.

While I thought there was only one more pregnancy in our future, I am hopeful that the CNY team will be able to make our dream come true one more time!

I am so thankful to be able to have the opportunity to go on this journey with a new child, my partner, and my two older children. I cannot extend enough thanks to the staff, or Dr. Grossman, who met me, and helped me on that snowy, scary Christmas Eve day. Thank you & see you again, soon!

If not for Dr. Rob

October 19, 2009 by Dr. Rob

CNY Fertility Success Story
If it wasn’t for Dr. Rob looking outside the box and telling me not to give up, on what seemed to be the impossible, then my mornings would not consist of the beautiful smile that melts my heart when I walk into my daughter’s room. I would not have those little “strong” arms grabbing me around my neck to hug me. I wouldn’t hear the squeals of laughter from down the hall as she let’s me know “Mommy, I am awake now.” I thank God everyday for this precious gift to my life. I thank CNY Fertility for giving me the only chance I would have had to be a Mom. The staff made me feel like they knew me my entire life from day one and It was hard to say goodbye. I will always be grateful to you all! Especially Chris for listening to me and helping me when I needed someone the most. I have learned through this that if there is even the slightest chance, giving up should not be an option! You just have to believe it can happen, visualize it, dream it, and without doubt you will achieve it.

PCOS

September 2, 2009 by Dr. Rob

I’m 23 years old and last January I was diagnosed with PCOS after trying to get pregnant for about six months. Being so young I never thought I’d have any issues getting pregnant. I tried clomid for about four months and then three IUI’s before taking a little break. When I switched jobs and my insurance changed it no longer covered any fertility treatments, so I looked for other alternatives.

When I found out about the CNY Healing Arts Spa in Latham I was very interested. I worked with Rebecca for acupuncture (also a herbal tea and diet) and Kristen for massage. I also did about three sessions of yoga. Everyone is so nice and makes every visit extremely comfortable. I started going this past March and by the end of May I found out I was pregnant. So far my pregnancy has been so normal I almost feel this isn’t normal (haha). I still go see Kristen for a monthly massage and went to see Rebecca up to about week eight. I always feel so relaxed and refreshed after visiting.

I feel extremely fortunate for my experience, and even though I was scared that it took me two years to get pregnant, now I feel so much hope and excitement. Not only for me and my husband if we decide to have another child, but it is exciting for others who share similar situations. Everyday was a learning experience not only in fertility but just how important taking care of your body is. Thank you so muuch.

No words can express…

August 27, 2009 by Dr. Rob

My husband and I were married in May of 2006. He had a two year old daughter at the time and we knew we wanted more children as soon as possible. We started trying immediately. After a year and a half of unsuccessful tries we consulted my OB/GYN, and after many tests, she had us try a few cycles of clomid. Then in June of 2008 she referred us to the CNY Fertility Center. We were both so nervous and excited. On our very first appointment we discovered that I had PCOS. We didn’t think our chances of having children were good, but the staff were all so wonderful and encouraging! And after our second IUI, we got a Positive test!! We couldn’t believe how quickly it happened! Jr. was born on June 21, 2009 (Father’s Day). He is the light of our lives and definitely his big sisters!! Words can’t express how grateful we are to Dr. Rob and all of the staff in Syracuse! Thank you so much!!!

Our two blessings

July 30, 2009 by Dr. Rob

For years my husband and I tried to have children resulting in several miscarriages. We went to see Dr. Kiltz and our first cycle we, with much amazement, were pregnant. 37 weeks later we gave birth to our happy and healthy baby boy, Troy. Wanting more children, we tried again a few times and 8 years later our family is complete with the birth of our happy and healthy daughter. We can not express how much Dr. Kiltz’s work has meant to us and how appreciative we are. You are Heaven sent to us and we are now God blessed with our two beautiful children.

Thank you for all of your work and dedication to families who are so desperately seeking to have families. We are forever indebted to you.

God’s grace

May 22, 2009 by Dr. Rob

I am a 33 year old woman from a family of 13. I was married at 19 to my love Wayne. We always wanted children, i always wanted to be a mom. About a year after getting married I got pregnant, at 17wks I began 2 miscarry the Dr. wanted to do a d&c but i was nervous about that . i went home, a few days later was rushed to the hospital hemorrhaging. They did the d&c & so began 5 years of heartbreaking losses for Wayne & I. I had 1 more miscarriage & 3 ectopic pregnancy’s, the last tubal ruptured & I almost died. As I was taken into surgery I begged the Doctor to leave at least one of my tubes. The next day they told me that they had taken 1 tube & sliced the other apparently there was a growth in that tube as well. A few months later i had a test done that showed that the remaining tube was not working. That was in april 2000. I have never gotten pregnant again. I do not have insurance so exploring further options hasn’t really been a possibility .

Three years ago a dear friend passed away leaving us guardian of 2 wonderful 14 year old’s. Challenging but fulfilling. At the same time a baby was brought into our life she lives with us 3 to 4 days a week. We are greatly blessed and enjoy our children so much. I would love to give birth and have more children, short of a miracle I don’t see that happening. But the Word says “we live by faith not by sight” so I’m trusting God.

Blessings to you & yours,

Kari B.  Psalm 91
