What to do with pumpkins after Halloween
November 7, 2008 by Editor

At the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, NY they hold an annual event “Squishing of the Squash”.
Join them this Saturday, November 8th, for the “Squishing of the Squash.” More than 20 animals will receive pumpkins throughout the day. The elephants will receive a pumpkin of pachyderm proportion at 11:00. Then, at noon, the fisher will explore a pumpkin palace carved from a 130 pound pumpkin! At 12:30, the spectacled bears will have a ball with pumpkin piñatas. The “Squishing of the Squash” is a perfect way to enjoy an autumn day. This event is free for Zoo members and is included in the price of general admission.
For the full schedule of events visit the Rosamond Gifford Zoo website.
