I have been to your CNY Healing Arts Center facility as a patient and my huge gratitude to Donald Clarke, who as soon as he learned about my diagnosis, got me a book which has been very helpful. Then, as soon as I could take needles again, I resumed acupuncture and I will continue, as long as it will be necessary. Yes, it was frightening to learn about what was in my head but it was removed, although I still need to get a scan, there is little concern that it may try to reoccur. I am absolutely determine to disarm this and I will be OK. I am grateful that I met so many wonderful people who are being better to me then any family was.

Sexual vitality

Sexual vitality depends on several factors. The health of the body and mind are the two main contributing factors to consider. Stress, poor diet and being overworked are ingredients for a poor or non-existent sex life. Let’s face it nobody really wants to have sex when they are tired. Honestly, sleep can be better than sex at times. Here are a few suggestions to ensure that our mind and body are optimal for sexual bliss. Let’s not forget that our bodies are temples. The better we treat our bodies the healthier our lives become.

Rest
Slow down, take time for yourself. Everyone should be allowed 1 hour a day to decompress. I know that it is not always possible to take this time, however if you make simple changes in your schedule it can happen. Turn the T.V. off.  You would be further ahead staring at the wall. Go to bed an hour earlier. This is the perfect time to be intimate. If you would rather sleep that is fine too. We can’t just turn our bodies on and off. Change takes time. Over time your body will come into rhythm with your new schedule and a healthy libido will follow.

Stress
Try to limit exposure to stressful situations. I’m sure you get enough stress at work and at home. Unneeded stress is just that “ unneeded.” If the thing you are stressing about does not affect you directly, then it is not worth worrying about. Try to cut back on family and social obligations. Stress is poison, less is better. Read more

Bacterial Vaginosis is still a bit of a mystery in the medical community as to why it first appears. Their has been some speculation as to some of the causes. High fragrance soaps, non-cotton undergarments, douching with strong synthetic solutions and poor diet.

Some advancement has been made in the treatment with western medicine however; there are some simple steps that you can take to treat the symptoms yourself. The first step to recovery is to alter the ph of the vagina to a more neutral level. This can be done in several ways. Diet and lifestyle seem to be the most effective treatment and prevention. Dos and Don’ts of Cholesterol

First and foremost one of the main contributors of high cholesterol levels ( Hyper Cholesterolemia) is over consumption of food.  When dealing with high cholesterol levels try to maintain the daily recommended caloric intake. The main focus on fighting high cholesterol is eliminating the foods that increase cholesterol and adding foods that lower cholesterol. It is not all about food. Lifestyle can play an important role in the bodies ability to breakdown fat and decrease plaque build up.

Foods: The obvious applies here. Avoid  excess meat consumption. Meat in moderate amounts is good for the body. Try to eat lean cuts. Fried foods, sugar, eggs, foods with high fat content and excess amounts of alcohol should all be avoided when dealing with high blood cholesterol. Read more

Fibromyalgia dietary recommendations

First and foremost Fibromyalgia is not as understood as some conditions. The triggers and or causes of this condition remains somewhat a mystery. What may cause symptoms in one person may not be the same for another. The best approach to dietary recommendations is that diets should be individualized.
