Dare to Dream

Many people believe that a dream is just a dream and that creating your own heaven on earth is not attainable.  In fact, I bet most people spend their time and energy on things that have nothing to do with the life-changing dream that’s lying dormant within them.  I’m not saying this is true for everyone, but take a look at your life…what are you contributing your energy to?  Are you using your awesomeness in your day to day life?  What are you awesome at?  Saying “nothing” is not an option.

Don’t fret.  Dream your daydream:  It can come true!  Indulge yourself; enjoy what it would feel like to really live your dream.  There’s truly no need to get caught up in how your dream is going to play out in the world “out there.”  The hardest part is admitting you have a dream at all and then being willing to state it.

Even then, the list of doubts to bring you down is endless:  “Can I do it?”  “Am I capable enough?”  “Do I have what it takes?”  “Am I smart enough?”  “Am I wise enough?”  “Am I…?”  Stop!  Take a breath for a moment.  Read more

Fear is a choice

We all deal with rational and irrational fears. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of death.
Whatever it is that you are afraid of, be it mysterious or mundane, it is holding you back from
your true potential.

“Breaking free is a matter of choice, a matter of allowing yourself to go to the highest peak and
feel The Breathe, of All That Is, moving through you,” explains Meagan O’Nan, author of
‘Creating Your Heaven on Earth’, “My message is simple. Listen to your heart.”

“Is your heart leading you, or is it your ego, your fears?” asks O’Nan. “A perfectly aware and
conscious individual once told me that thoughts are like an icy wind. The truth is that our fears
keep us from our heart. Our thoughts glide through our bodies maneuvering us to a place
where we struggle, we question, and we neglect what is already perfect.” Read more

Loving yourself

April 2, 2009 by Editor

THE ETERNAL QUESTION IS: how do I love myself?

It is so easy to walk through life trying to define our sadness or uneasiness; never allowing ourselves to recognize that we are simply not fulfilling our inward desires. I have seen so many people blame their sadness on their spouse or partner, mother or father, brother or sister, without ever admitting that they are truly unhappy with who they are. One of the most important lessons I have learned in my life is that no one can ever love me enough to make me love myself, and I can never love anyone enough to make them love themselves. When you are able to recognize this and admit its truth, then you are ready and willing to fall in love with your own heart.

Part of loving yourself is discovering who you are, and the truth of the matter is, you will always be rediscovering who you are. With every new situation, or with every new person who enters your life, there is going to be something that is going to make you clarify what your beliefs about yourself are. It is safe to say that living in the moment is part of discovering your own true colors, and if you can find the presence in every moment, then there is no need to look any further; you will simply be conscious of what is, not what might be and not what was.
