My Adventure with Cancer
December 29, 2009 by Editor

I have been to your CNY Healing Arts Center facility as a patient and my huge gratitude to Donald Clarke, who as soon as he learned about my diagnosis, got me a book which has been very helpful. Then, as soon as I could take needles again, I resumed acupuncture and I will continue, as long as it will be necessary. Yes, it was frightening to learn about what was in my head but it was removed, although I still need to get a scan, there is little concern that it may try to reoccur. I am absolutely determine to disarm this and I will be OK. I am grateful that I met so many wonderful people who are being better to me then any family was.
Thank you,
Elizabeth

The Benefits of Fish for Children
November 18, 2009 by Heather Neely

By now, we have all heard of the many benefits eating fish has for adults. It is great for your heart and brain, it’s low in saturated fats and high in Omega-3 fatty acids. But, did you know that when children eat fish on a regular basis, it can provide them with even more health benefits than those of adults?
Studies have shown that when eaten on a consistent basis, fish, or more specifically the omega-3 fatty acids in fish, can help increase brain and eye development, and decrease behavioral problems. Children who eat fish regularly score higher on cognitive tests than non-fish eaters. As for behavior issues, the University of Oxford, in England, studied children with ADHD. When the children were given fish or omega-3 supplements on a regular basis, their behavior issues decreased significantly.
What make fish so healthy are the omega-3 fatty acids it contains. All fish contain some level of omega-3 fatty acids. Read more
Dr. Rob On My Mind, November 17th, 2009
November 17, 2009 by Dr. Rob

Dr. Rob on my mind;
Another beautiful “right now” is seen and felt in this, another amazing day. While in NYC on Saturday, my lower back was reminded of its mechanical nature. A tweak, a twist, a spasm at that, attempting to open up a couch to sleep upon. Now with some pain and challenges walking, I call it all a gift, to remind me of the beauty and nature of life. All things flow and are good in life and are present to teach me and guide me on my way. Not bad, nor good, but a gift for this day in life. As the pain pushes me, the vision pulls me to seek a remedy, a healing experience, yet not attached to the outcome. Each day a gift is given to me, and I simply share with the universe and say thank you for all that come to me in the day. To slow it down and look all around, and constantly seek the balance. Take nothing for granted, and with some acupuncture (thank you to the amazing Donald, of CNY Healing Arts Syracuse) my back is speaking more gently to me. Healing energy is flowing and this comes from the energy of thee, of the Universe and of thy mind. Also with some healing touch and visualization of healing in me, all from the power blessed to us all. A thought that all things that come are a gift for me, to learn and seek. I put a smile on my face, and use the words, healing within me. Some stretching and meditation is also useful to find the balance on the journey, right now. All is good exactly as it happens, then my mind builds the necessary molecules, vibrating and healing me, and attracting the necessary building blocks for the change coming my way. My love to all and blessings on your journey this day, and for you to change your thoughts of the pain to a gift, to grow and learn, and find the balance and the flow meant for you on your exploration of life.
Love,
Dr. Rob
A Healthier You Seminar
November 16, 2009 by CindyCifaratta

Detoxify for the New Year & Drink your Vitamins for a Healthier You:
One of the most important steps we can take to immediately improve our overall health is to learn about detoxifying our bodies. At the root of so many of our diseases and health challenges is a DIRTY COLON! It has been my experience, along with many other natural health-care specialists, that cleaning out the colon can make a major difference in all our body systems. So, let’s learn how important the colon is and how we can keep this extremely important organ clean and functioning well.
I like to use this analogy: Would you even consider driving your car for years without changing the oil and filter, knowing that this dirty oil and clogged filter will reduce the life expectancy and performance of your car engine? Of course not! We know this is a very important procedure; therefore we do this on a regular basis. Read more
Our Little Ball of Positive Energy
November 5, 2009 by Dr. Rob
Dr. Rob,
On February 13th, you held our hands and asked us to think positive thoughts as you retrieved the little follicle that would become the greatest gift we’ve ever been given. I must admit, after many unsuccessful attempts, I was skeptical. Karen & I knew all too well the disappointment of attempts that “didn’t take” and were hardly consoled as we watched those around us succeed, when we only failed. We had resigned ourselves to one last attempt before we gave up and bought a timeshare on St. Maarten. I’m not kidding.
Everything changed for us on that February day. We “drank the kool-aid” and stayed positive all weekend. After the subsequent embryo transfer, I confined her to bed and waited on her hand and foot, trying to keep her relaxed while we kept positive thoughts. Through the weeks of bed rest that followed, we experienced moments of total kindness. Friends and strangers alike prayed for us, offered us their energy, one woman even offered to carry a child for us! An incredible, if not unbelievably awkward, gesture. I read your emails aloud to Karen and we regularly drove to acupuncture. I TRULY BELIEVE that made the difference. Karen was so relaxed, I thought she’d been drugged. I’d never seen her so stress free. When I realized the acupuncture had worked it’s charms, I knew this was our chance. I could feel it.
On October 23rd, Mason Robert arrived. Two and a half weeks early and years in the making. I cannot thank you or your staff enough. You have honestly changed our lives forever.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Jeff & Karen
