Denise Kelly’s Classroom Intention, December 2009
January 18, 2010 by Denise Kelly

Below is December’s Intention for my 2nd grade classroom. We are now into the 2nd year of doing weekly/monthly intentions with the students in my classroom. We sometimes base it on one of Dr. Kiltz’s Intentions and other times create our own. Visit my Bio to read about how we began the Classroom Intention.
I WILL GIVE MY BEST!
BEST!
That is what I give!
This I know will make a great life!
A great life for me and for you!
To give my best, that is what I want!
To always have a smile and a kind heart.
This is what “I will give my best” means to me!

It’s up to me to make this world a better place to live!
It’s all inside of me! The good choices I make are up to me.
I can help my family and friends by sharing my positive thoughts, words and attitudes.
Everyone has their own special way to change their thoughts.
We all have happy thoughts! Now, it’s important to share it all forward. This is the key to a better life for all!
If we believe in our positive thoughts our world will be a better place!
IT’S UP TO ME!!!!

Below is Week 4 of my 2nd grade classroom’s Weekly Intention. We are now into the 2nd year of doing weekly intentions with the students in my classroom. I MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
I! Me! I make a difference!
I know I make a difference to me, my family and my community!
We are all different but we make a difference in our own special way!
On the bus we can make a difference by being quiet. This will help us be safe.
I can make a difference to my grandma by helping her cook. This makes us both feel better on the inside.
When I help my teachers, friends, family, and neighbors, I am making a difference!
When I smile at people, I make the world a better place to live!
I know I make a difference and so do you!

I WILL FOCUS ON THE POSITIVES –NOT THE NEGATIVES OF LIFE!!!!
Oh, the life we will have when everyone focuses on the positive!
When it’s cloudy, I will see sunshine!
I will keep the negatives to myself!
I will think about the good, even when it’s tough!
I will look to the positive side to get ahead in life.
If we change our thoughts, we can change our feelings
Looking at the positive will help me to never give up on farming.
I will practice saying all positive words!
Positive words are the way to go!

Denise Kelly’s classroom intention: Year 2, Week 1
October 7, 2009 by Denise Kelly

I HAVE THE I CAN DO IT ATTITUDE!
When I get out of bed, I decide the kind of attitude I am going to have.
Will I decide to have the I can do it attitude or will I decide to have the I can’t do it attitude?
The I can do it attitude makes me feel so good inside!
The I can do it attitude makes me believe I can do anything!
It makes me believe I can get a PMP ticket!
It makes me believe I can make my own clubhouse!
It makes me believe I can read, do math and write a story!
It makes me think of my dad and grandpa; they really believe I can do anything!
The I can do it attitude makes me feel like I can help others believe they can do it, too!
Most of all the I can do it attitude makes me believe in myself!
And it makes me feel warm and happy because
I KNOW I CAN DO IT!

Denise Kelly’s classroom send “Thanks” to Dr. Rob
May 18, 2009 by Denise Kelly
Denise Kelly and her 2nd grade classroom have been creating weekly intentions this past school year. It all started with an idea, they worked with Dr. Rob and it grew from there. They recently spent an afternoon sharing stories and creating vision boards with Dr. Rob when he visited their classroom. Below the kids have created an audio message to express their thanks and appreciation for this past year and what creating their own intentions have meant to them.
