When we allow fear to surface and breathe it out, we create room for inspiration to flow. My friend Jack Canfield defines FEAR as "Fantasized Experiences Appearing Real". Our mind doesn't know the difference between real and imagined (think about commercials and advertisements!). The power we have is to be aware of how our body responds to events and to recognize when we are feeling all kinds of feelings. No longer pretending they aren't there, rather saying "I feel fear about....and I choose to embrace courage!" Ask yourself what am I experiencing inside? Where am I feeling it? What is a better thought/feeling that I can replace it with? Faith creates inner peace....breathe out fear and breathe in Faith, holding a vision of what that would be in your life. Namaste.
Claire,
You have a talent for writing that made me feel like I was right there with you. I could close my eyes and feel the sun and even smell the horse filled air! Wonderful… Congratulations on taking a giant leap toward your dreams. Enjoy every moment!!!

Judith: Glad to see such an in-depth look of self-care. I am a firm believer, that self-care is the most important thing anyone can do, to fully enrich their lives and that of EVERYONE they come in contact with. Ones emotional well being and peace, creates a balance and strength that allows someone to become, the best parent, friend, spouse, lover and Being they can dream to be.

Society, wrongly honors those that always put everyone first as though that was a good thing. They frown on those that take the extra hour of sleep in the morning as though it implied laziness. With the proper rest someone is far more productive and capable than those droning through the day on three hours sleep.

We must remember that people like Ghandi and Mother Teresa, who were considered selfless and tireless givers and helpers of others, did so because of self-care. They always made time for prayer, meditation, rest and reflection. This self-care allowed them, the emotional and physical strength to face struggles and hardships that would have made most give up.

Self-care allows each of us to achieve our potential for happiness and fulfillment in our lives and to help create happiness in that of others. Ironically, the most selfish thing you can do, is deny yourself self-care.

Good luck Judith!

Dr. Rob,

Although we are all very disappointed that you will not be able to join us today, we know it is a gift from the universe. We are so happy to hear that you and your staff are all tucked away somewhere safe. Thank you for sharing your intention today. The gift to us is that we are going to get some extra playtime to play in all the beautiful fresh snow. We hope to see you soon. Have a fabulous day!

Much love and peace,

Mrs. Kelly's 2nd grade class :o)

This was an awesome and outstanding book!! Words cannot describe how I feel about this book. It was lifechanging, although I did not pick up this book with the thought of changing or growing. I have done both through this book. Thank you Mr. Young for writing this book!
