Steam Inhalations

The first time I was introduced to essential oils was in the early 90s when I lived in France. At that time, I suffered from chronic and painful sinus infections.

The first one that occurred in France, my French host mother ran down to the Pharmacy (they’re on every corner) and returned with a glass, amber bottle filled with Eucalyptus essential oil (Which species? I don’t know). She added water to a tea pot and boiled it on the stove then poured it in to a bowl. Then she added a few drops of Eucalyptus essential oil. She instructed me to sit at the table, placed a towel over my head, close my eyes and inhale – while she cooked dinner.

These steam inhalations opened my sinuses immediately – I was able to breath! Read more
