Gratitude, 1/27/09

With some things not going the way I had hoped, it’s a good time to look at the good things for which I am grateful:

My wife and child, the centers of my universe.
My family, who made me the person I am today.
My health, which allows me to enjoy life.
My music, which gives me a way to express myself without words.
My job, which expands my mind and allows me to be a part of something great.

My baby, she has many faces, and the one she turns to me shines the light of Heaven.

My baby, she has so many faces, laughing, crying, smiling, angry, wondering, frightened, hungering.

My baby, she has eyes of 8-ball size, and they cue me into what’s real, man, and what’s real is my baby.

Grateful – Hearth and Home

It has been a great weekend. Saturday, we were up and out the door early, to help friends move. Their new home is beautiful. Our friendship is new, and developing, and they are nice people.
