It is essential that we try to improve our understanding of food and why food is the most important component that we put into our bodies. There are few things that we truly require: air – without it for simply 3 minutes or less, we would not live; water – we can go without for maybe three days; and food we can do without for anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months.
We store food (energy) as fat. We burn and utilize fat as the primary source of energy for our cells or mitochondria. Every cell of our body requires it. Consumption of food is three macromolecules: carbohydrates (or sugars) which are in abundant forms produced by all things that grow, while animals are sources of fat and protein. It’s fat and protein –those fatty acids and amino acids– that are the essential components, where as carbohydrates and sugars are unessential. That is, our body manufactures glucose.
That’s right. It is unessential for us to consume glucose and carbohydrates. In fact, glucose in the amounts that we consume is actually toxic. Diabetes, heart disease, cancer, hypertension, obesity and a host of autoimmune diseases are running rampant in our communities today. I believe their primary cause is the abundance of carbohydrates in our diet, not just grains and milk, but all carbohydrates including kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, carrots, beans, peas, and asparagus. Fruits and fiber are not only unessential, but they are harmful to our bodies. Our diets should be high fat, low protein and go zero – that’s zero carbs.
This does not make sense in light of the food marketing that we have been led to believe is correct. But what I’m doing is turning the world upside down, as Richard David Feinman discusses in his great book The World Turned Upside Down. Quite often, the curve ball, or the knuckle ball, is that the opposite of what we believe to be true is quite often the truth. Or, the simplest answer. Our problems are all caused by “Carbage” or “Carbocaine”. We are carboholics, and we are meant to be because carbohydrates are abundant. When we consume them, they are converted to fat and fat is storage and survival. Although air and water have been readily available, food was once not so abundant.
We are enticed by the amazing food industry that’s able to produce in amounts that are even more amazing. The quality of food is excellent, by the way. Fruits, fiber and vegetables are excellent quality, but their quantity is harming us. We fuel the fire and cause inflammation by stuffing our gut with bulk and placing in there a poorly digestible substance which actually produces yeast, bacteria, fungi and a multitude of other organisms that break down the cellulose into simple sugars making it an even more abundant environment for inflammation. It’s the inflammation that causes arthritis, dermatitis, psoriasis, hypertension, diabetes, likely any and all cancers except maybe the few caused by other particles such as asbestos and tobacco. But ultimately, the factor is inflammation. It may simply be that the excessive carbohydrate load, phytochemicals, and poorly digestible fiber are that little spark that bring those diseases into reality in our bodies and wreaks early death and destruction for many of us.
Eating a high fat diet is not the fad of today. The fad is everything low fat. What we’re working to talk about today is low to no carbs. Maybe it’s to eliminate the complex carbs – the poorly digestible carbs. There’s not a lot of data on this, but it’s there. Look at Ketogenic Diet and the Banting meal plan. Read Gary Taube’s Good Calories, Bad Calories and Jimmy Moore’s books Keto Clarity and Cholesterol Clarity.
We do not require supplements or processed foods that are excessively manufactured for long-term storage both on a shelf and in our bodies. Fat is the fuel to be consumed. By consuming this high-octane fuel, it reduces inflammation creating a ketogenic environment and ketone bodies, acetoacetate, and beta hydroxybutyrate which are healthy fuels for our fertile, fit and fantastic bodies.
Every day: bacon, eggs, butter, beef, YES! This is the baby diet. We are all babies in one way or another. We should be fueling the fire with the fittest fuel (high octane) – pork belly, rib eye, butter, full cream, and the fattiest of cheeses. Start with that.
Yes, we find it very difficult to believe this because we certainly want to see the fruits, fiber and vegetables. They look so great and taste so good. You’re right. Your brain knows how to get you feeding on fatty foods. Remember, fatty foods are not fat. Fatty foods are carbohydrates. That’s both complex and simple sugars. It’s as simple as that.
Fertile Fatty Foods First. This reduces inflammation. It heals metabolic syndrome. Cholesterol goes down because carbs cause high cholesterol. Carbs cause heart disease. Carbs cause diabetes. Carbs cause hypertension, Alzheimer’s, dementia, death and destruction.
It’s okay if you’re eating a little bit of the green carbs, but I really mean a little bit, and you’re focusing mostly on bacon, eggs, butter and beef. Yes, they say that avocados are high in fat, but they’re also high in carbs. Anything plant based – ground grown— is a fatty causing food. That means you’re going to build it in your girth. You’re going to grow and store the energy your body needs to survive the 3 weeks or 3 months of limited or lacking food sources.
