Positive Attitude

Good morning! It’s a another awesome and amazing day today. I know I say this all the time but some things are so true that they deserve, and need, to be repeated… Attitude is Everything! The work of maintaining a positive attitude is key when learning to Live Your Best Life.

It’s hard to not feel defeated, cynical, and negative sometimes. Lets face it, life is hard, and it gets us down sometimes. It’s okay to let yourself feel a little melancholy at times, as long as you don’t set up camp there and get comfortable. When you feel negative, know that it will pass. The hardship that you are experiencing is temporary. Things will improve. Know this.

Your attitude about yourself and your life will shape your reality. If you have a negative attitude, play the victim, or don’t accept responsibility for things, you will find that life doesn’t flow as smoothly as it could. However, when you accept that feelings are temporary and tell yourself that it will be okay, the universe will respond to those broadcasted feelings by making sure that it is okay.

What you project, you attract. Attitude is everything.

Dr. Rob’s Weekly Exercise:
Spend a few minutes each morning meditating about how you are feeling. If you are stressed out with a bad attitude, what can you do to change your attitude and ensure your day goes smoothly? If you are feeling positive, motivated and aware, how can you keep this feeling with you for the rest of the day?

Breathe in deeply. Smile while you are doing this exercise, even if you are not in the mood to smile. Think about something that will make you smile. Repeat a positive mantra to yourself to get you through the day. Check in with yourself a few times to ensure that your attitude isn’t getting off track.

Keeping a positive attitude will make your day run smoother.
