Hello, good morning, a beautiful awesome and amazing day! Dr. Rob just sharing some thoughts on this beautiful, awesome and amazing day. I just had the opportunity to talk to my brother, Ray. He shared with me that this is the most beautiful day in the universe—right now! Yesterday, I had some really great opportunities I wanted to share with you—but at first I thought they were challenges that were painful and hard—I’m not doing them! No way! This is uncomfortable. This isn’t right.
On my way out of the office yesterday, I received a call from one of my staff that a client needed to be seen. They traveled all the way from Toronto, but we didn’t have someone in our Rochester office that could see them at the time. Our office was closed and we were done, and I was going out for the evening. First it was like, “We’re closed. I’m sorry. We can’t help you.” The moment I recognized that this was a gift and an opportunity and I said, “Yes of course I can help them”. I said send them our way and I’ll see them at 7:00 in the evening. I took that opportunity to come back to Syracuse and also say, You know what? I’m in Syracuse, I’m going to go see my friend Tosh and spend the evening with Tosh. The clients from Canada were happy—I took care of them. I got a chance to visit with my friend Tosh and go visit my friend John’s restaurant, Prime, in Syracuse.
When we got there, a huge great art fair going on in the streets and we couldn’t find parking. Well, actually no, not true—we found parking a little further away than our right in front spot. We had to walk a couple of blocks and it was great. When we got there, plenty of room, sat at the bar, Ann took care of us. We got our menus and were sitting and enjoying, and having some cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, a great margarita on ice. We were sharing great thoughts ideas, energy, and thoughts of creativity. We were talking about Tosh’s new restaurant coming called Flame right behind Crowne Plaza. Come to find out there are no hot meals—the kitchen is closed. My friend, John, who is part owner of the restaurant, comes in and takes care of us in amazing ways and we were great and happy! We had tuna tartare, we had lump crab salad, we had a shrimp cocktail and a Caesar salad—and it was perfect! It actually turned out to be a better meal than my steak meal that I thought I was going to have. It was delightful when we recognized the moment when we realized we don’t need a hot meal—a cold meal is great, whatever you have we’ll be happy with. Thank you for the great service and care. The meal turned out to be on John, and we thank you John.
Every day, when we confront or come into the experience of something we think it wasn’t supposed to be and we open the universe to the possibilities that what we have is perfect; we’re in the right place doing the right thing, and it’s all easy and we’re going with the flow of the universe.
Brother Ray shared with me that if you’re worried about hitting a pothole, certainly you’re looking out for them. Isn’t it amazing how you just manage to get right into them; it’s called worry. Every day focus on the gratitude of the day, the gratitude of life, the gratitude of love—the attitude of gratitude every day when we share love, kindness, and joy of the moment. Air, water, food, shelter—nothing more. Let go of the news, the paper, the worries, the fears, and have faith in the perfection of the day, the moment; but you must practice it. In every storm stands still in the calm of your mind. Say thank you God for this moment, this day, and I love you. We are our thoughts and nothing more. Take the step to be creative this day. Share joy and happiness to all. Take nothing personal, always do your best, impeccable with your words, and take nothing personal—don Miguel Ruiz writes the words.
Currently, I’m reading the book How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci by Michael Gelb. Reading positive, uplifting books, creative thoughts and ideas every day. We’re on life journey of the universe. It’s only energy; we’re not our bodies, we’re our thoughts, and that it is. Think it amazing, good, great, loving, and kind. Step into yourself! When you step in, you’ll see the beauty and perfection of every moment and I say we’re born to die; now live the moment with joy and happiness, no matter what. My blessings this day and every day. Read a book every day; positive, uplifting books every day. If you’re reading about the grayness, the hunger game of life, the struggles; you will live that because you only are what you read. My blessings to you this day. Life is to grow and learn; it’s not just for being entertained.
