About Hetty:
I adore faces, the nuance of expression, the similarities and differences that make us all human. My sketchbooks are filled with the interesting faces of family, friends and strangers- each one a story in and of itself. In those books ideas are born and images are captured for future projects or just to enjoy a moment again. Sometimes I use watercolor in them, sometimes just pencil. I prefer the spontaneity and freedom they give especially while exploring the world and my own little corner of it. Traveling is a big part of my life, and my sketchbook is as important as my toothbrush. After my most recent trip I found I was unable to put the watercolors away! Not sure why, I think it was my new brushes
As I usually work in oil and charcoal at home, this was a surprise to me! Hence this project …
Im inviting you to look over my shoulder and see whats in my sketchbook! Just about every day I will select a new image to paint and will share with you a video of its creation. Im always looking for new ideas! What faces inspire you?
Leave me a note or email me for more information- Hope to see you in my sketchbook soon!
