Dr. Rob On My Mind, February 3, 2010

February 3, 2010 by Dr. Rob

A thought of the day and of my life, and finding comfort in the sharing. I am listening and learning each and every day, and seeking knowledge, is my way to enjoy the day. One of the things that I have worked towards is to understand the truth and find what is right. On my quest and my journey, I am opening up to the reality that right is whatever one thinks it is. And the truth, a judgment and an assumption, is a belief. Well, that may be an overstatement but I will start with this, you are right, and in fact we are all right. Nature and the Universe compels us to move forward and go with the flow and the need to be right is part of the flow. This need to be right is a major cause of discourse. Yet this is nature’s way, and our thoughts of right and wrong is ever changing.

The best way that I have learned to let go and move forward in life, is to learn to say, YOU’RE RIGHT. To simply say these easy words is my new habit and I practice this daily to improve and build my new neuro-pathways. I am not quite at 100%, but close and working easily towards this goal. Giving up being right is the best way to embrace others and open up to loving all people. The brain, the part of us that we call the ego, is in constant battle with the need to be right. To create and hold onto what is the truth. Survival is a persistent prime need, I can accept this, and the need to know is somehow part of this directive. Yet the perspectives or points of view in life are as many as there are people. What a blessing and an amazing part of the creative Universe this is. That we can have so many thoughts and ideas of the same thing and be a part of the ever expanding cosmos.

Remember, people are simply sharing their feelings and their thoughts and we needn’t criticize or belittle. We are one and the same with all people. And with the simple words, you’re right, the power of the Universe is given to change the outcome of an event. No strife or fighting needed, only love. And in fact to fight is to move against something, being rigid and the step towards internal strife. For internal strife is the first step towards the external negative powers, persistent wars of life. Happiness is the accepting of all people as one. And since thoughts are the creation of all things, simply changing a thought from I am right to you’re right, changes the thing.  Are we seeking to be right or to be one in life, to be happy? I choose happy and love, and that you are right.  Dr. Rob
