Vision to Fruition

Have you ever had someone sit across from you, look you in the eyes, and ask you what you want?  If you haven’t, try it.  Have them ask you over and over until you get to what you really want.  I’m not talking about, “I want a new car” or “I want a new job.”  Although there is nothing wrong with either of these things, the purpose in asking the question repeatedly is to find out what your heart truly desires, which usually boils down to “I want peace in my life,” “I want to be happy,” “I want to help people.”

I always tell my clients, “you know what you want, you just don’t know that you know.”  We often don’t take the time to ask ourselves these probing questions because we don’t feel that we deserve what we truly want, or we have no idea how we could ever achieve that dream that has nudged at us for years.  Do you want to start your own business?  Do you want to inspire others?  If so, why do you want these things?  Do you want to inspire others because it will give you a feeling of peace?  What is it that motivates you to want these things?  What is the true satisfaction they will bring, the feeling behind them that will fulfill you?  Identifying your underlying reason for wanting something puts you in a place where you can start opening to possibilities for actually pursuing your dream because you are honoring the part of you that created the dream to begin with.

So once you discover what it is you want in your life, what do you to do get there?  The first – and most important – thing is to hold onto your vision no matter what it takes!  Only you can hold onto what you want until it comes to fruition.  Eckhart Tolle would say, “just live in the moment,” but how do you do that if your business isn’t yet here “in the moment?“  Focusing on your dream and holding onto your vision is the most important step you will take, the one that will set you on a course of action and keep you there, and this happens “in the moment.

By discovering what your vision is and claiming it, you can begin to sift through your old beliefs and create new ones.  Not feeling good enough will not serve you in creating and maintaining the life of your dreams; instead, by diving into the old beliefs you have held onto–those beliefs that have kept you from following your heart–you will become empowered to entertain new possibilities and create a new course for your life.  You will be inspired to take action, and with every action you will set into motion countless new possibilities:

The baby steps in the beginning of the journey always seem inadequate compared to the brilliance of the dream that inspired them.  This is natural.  If the dream weren’t so far ‘out there’ and dazzling, it wouldn’t be worth dreaming.  Just don’t be led to think that the physical ground you cover with your baby steps is all that they accomplish.  Because for every mortal step you take, another cog in a giant wheel behind the curtains of space and time advances, and with it 10,000 new possibilities.  (A Note from the Universe, tut.com)

In your process of exploring your old beliefs to move your dream from vision to fruition, you will most likely start to discover expectations you have had that you had no idea were there.  These expectations set us up to stay frozen in our limited way of thinking, comfortable in our mediocrity.  Through having the courage to start working through your expectations, not only of yourself but of others, and of how the world works in general, you will begin to release them and open yourself up to new and different possibilities.  There are many more ways than one to live your vision, and letting go of expectations helps you tune into more and more of those, bringing your dream closer and closer to reality.

Don’t be discouraged when things don’t happen as fast as you want them to.  Be gentle with yourself, trust in the process of life, and stay focused on your vision.  Just as a tree bears fruit from the inside out, so too do we manifest our dreams from the inside out.  You have all you need within you.  Dreams do come true!  Hold onto them, continue to vision for what it is you want, explore your beliefs, honor yourself, trust that you will be given exactly what you need when you need it, and know that creating your heaven on earth is possible and that it starts with you!
So, move your feet and start creating your heaven on earth!
