Dare to Dream
December 17, 2009 by Editor

Many people believe that a dream is just a dream and that creating your own heaven on earth is not attainable. In fact, I bet most people spend their time and energy on things that have nothing to do with the life-changing dream that’s lying dormant within them. I’m not saying this is true for everyone, but take a look at your life…what are you contributing your energy to? Are you using your awesomeness in your day to day life? What are you awesome at? Saying “nothing” is not an option.
Don’t fret. Dream your daydream: It can come true! Indulge yourself; enjoy what it would feel like to really live your dream. There’s truly no need to get caught up in how your dream is going to play out in the world “out there.” The hardest part is admitting you have a dream at all and then being willing to state it.
Even then, the list of doubts to bring you down is endless: “Can I do it?” “Am I capable enough?” “Do I have what it takes?” “Am I smart enough?” “Am I wise enough?” “Am I…?” Stop! Take a breath for a moment. If a dream is born in your heart, it exists for a reason: You are meant to do what you love to do, and you love doing it because you’re meant to do it. That bears repeating: You’re meant to do what you love to do, and you love doing it because you’re meant to do it.
The point isn’t “how” this dream is going to manifest outside of yourself. What it’s really about is your believing and trusting in yourself. That is your primary responsibility. Hold your vision in your hand gently, as if you were holding a dandelion and blowing it out into the world. It’s easy to sit and daydream, diving into the emotion of bliss as if the dream had already come true, and the feeling that’s attached to your dream is exactly what will serve you in watching things unfold. Don’t create expectations around how your dream will look; instead, be open to possibilities.
Trust that your dream will show you the way. As long as you’re holding onto your vision and that vision continues to resonate with the deepest part of who you are, then you can rest assured that everything that happens along your way is serving a purpose for you on your path to fulfilling that dream. Have the courage to stand up for who you are, and know that the Universe is already responding with joy to your call.
