Dr. Rob on my mind;
As you may know I am not an avid newspaper reader or news follower. To me, this is mostly the same stuff, negative and repetitive, adding to the brain the worry and fears, thus adding to the anxiety and distress of life. But, on this Monday, on the drive in I had some thoughts. Watching the deer in the fields and having seen hunters out this weekend, I began to see the healing and connections to nature, being out with others, experiencing the journey. On arriving to the office this morning at 5am, I noted the Saturday Syracuse Post Standard front page article that talked about hunting for healing. David Figura, the outdoors editor shares the story of Kevin Workman, owner of Liberty Lodge Outfitters. With the assistance of others and the formation of a not for profit  organization they are dedicated to serving the wounded men and women of our Armed Forces. Getting out in nature and hunting can be a meditative and spiritual experience that can connect us with the creator and give one the confidence to move forward in life. The connections with people is the key, and yes an occasional reading of the paper finds the beauty of humanity, even among the seeming chaos.

Also, thanks to Patty Pack for sharing her words of being kind, from What I Believe, Syracuse Post Standard, Saturday, November 21, 2009. There are ways to share positive and uplifting stories in the newspaper, and her thoughts were my inspiration to my intention this day. We simply need to be kind and share, recognizing that all things that occur in our lives are at the hands of the energy of the Universe. All is good and part of the lessons and experiences from the teacher. We are all one and connected in life, allow all to love, forgive and have no judgment are the thoughts that come to me each and every day. A challenge you say, but this is in my mind the message for us all to move forward and see the harmony of life.
Namaste,
Dr. Rob
