Dr. Rob On My Mind, November 2nd, 2009

Dr. Rob on my mind; traveled to Princeton Saturday evening for dinner and Sunday with my daughter Pilar. My tire went flat a mere 1 mile from Princeton. A flat head bolt, 2 inches long and 1/4 inch in diameter pierced the tire and it soon went flat. Not sure how a flat head bolt that long made it into my tire, but it did. A blessing I said, and it became that way. Had a great time with Gina, Pilar and Joel for dinner at Witherspoon’s Restaurant 9:30pm on Saturday. Then Sunday early morning, John from the auto club came out and repaired my tire. I was amazed at the simple fix. He pulled the bolt and filled the tire with air, then placed 3 rubber plugs. Quick and easy, and a permanent fix. Pilar and I then took the NJ train to NYC and went shopping and had a great late lunch. Simply spending time together, no agendas, just time sharing the day. Back to Penn station for the quick trip back to Princeton and then me on my 4 hour drive back to Skaneateles. All things truly are simple, a patch or a plug. It all works and happens as it is meant to be, with the love and joy of the experiences. My thanks for the journey this day, and even the flats that I do not always see. A gift for me.
