The day I decided to be 15 minutes early
June 8, 2009 by TA Smith

I recently had a business networking meeting at my local Chamber of Commerce. I decided, for a change, to leave early and arrive prior to the meeting 15 minutes early.
Here’s what I noticed:
- The drive to the meeting was peaceful. No rushing. No concerns that the guy in front of me was taking his time.
- I was able to do a bit of quick homework on the upcoming meeting.
- I had a chance to review any pertinent notes.
- I also had time to do a bit of other work, which was nice, with the extra time on my hands.
- was RELAXED.
Also , I recommend to always have a book in your car to utilize when you have a few spare minutes. I have positive, uplifting stories, as well as inspirational stuff. A favorite quotes book comes in handy to share with new people you may meet at the business function.
The bottom line of leaving and arriving 15 minutes early is this:
I was less Stressed.
I was more Prepared.
I was more Focused.
15 minutes early. It’s amazing what a few extra ticks on the clock can do for you. I think I’ll try it again, soon.
