Going naked

November 13, 2008 by Dr. Rob

Good morning to all and thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts in life. We are all here, in this moment in the universe to share our energy brought to us by GOD. Listening to Marianne Williamson, Being in Light, on my drive to work this morning (automobile university), she shared her thoughts about stripping ourselves naked and allowing ourselves to be who we are.

Adam and Eve stood naked in life and by clothing ourselves we walked out of the Garden of Eden into the jungle of fear. Opening up our emotions and sharing with the world our thoughts, fears and concerns of life is what truly makes us free to live a most wonderful life. Our true fears are expressed as  we are constantly hiding our supposed imperfections, as if no one else has them. Our fears of loneliness, failure, or less success in the eyes of others, which is really ourselves.

Yet by opening up and not being afraid to share with others our hidden skeletons and vulnerabilities, we put into practice what peals away the hurt. Letting go of the shame is what brings us to the bright light  of life. The true energy of the universe is inside each and every one of us. Tapping into this light, so dim at this moment, is the power of letting go and finding our inner strength. Realizing that the work to find ourselves requires a journey to share, explore ideas and methods to improve our existence. Spiritual reading, seminars, drumming, art, travel, reflection and journeying to find our true essence of life.

Remember to share your fears and soon you will realize that we are all living in this same universe. The statue of David is hidden in the marble stone block and only needed Michelangelo to chip away to find it. Be the sculptor or the artist of your life and seek your true inner self. No fear, your life is here and now.

Love to all!

Dr. Rob

That is very true. We all put up barriers to hide our true selves…take those barriers down, go naked, be yourself, no fear…Forget Everything And Relax!

    Hey, very interesting post.

My written English is not so good so I write in German:

“Lieber den Spatz in der Hand, als die Taube auf dem Dach.”

    Yours sincerely

Dr. Rob I love Automobile University and walking Headphone University as well. Just last night I was in an acting class where the teacher talked about stage fright. He said that “Everyone who acts usually has it but it melts away like magic when you finally walk on stage and begin to act”. I feel life is like that also. We all have fear but when we start to take action (even baby steps) the layers of fear are peeled away. Whatever you are doing gets easier each time you expose your true self or as you say Dr. Rob — GO NAKED!

That was, quite simply, a refreshing joy to read. We are all together, baring all, with love and honesty — just being ourselves — but “faking it” if we’re not clear! lol! :) — Jason
