Serenade

October 13, 2008 by Elisabeth Hurley

Last rays of sunshine
Hitting my corner bench
Pale ball of yellow
Setting over the lake
Leaving a golden glow
On ripples of water
And a canoe dwarfed
By the mast of a sailboat.

Pink and purple sky
Veiling the convex moon
Two flocks of birds
Circling each other
In the company of
four silent planes
And their silvery trains
while a duck serenades.

Hello my friend! I so enjoyed your beautiful poems. Reading them gave me the same type of feeling I get from meditation……… very spiritual and peaceful!
