Sharing some great news

October 7, 2008 by Randall J Skates

I just received my e-newsletter from The Everson Museum of Art and wanted to share it with everyone. As fall approaches, the Everson has new programs to inspire and rejuvenate every member of the family.

The Everson presents exciting opportunities for children and teenagers to create original works of art this October. For adults, there are a multitude of events to attend ranging from Andy Warhol film screenings to a unique masquerade event honoring Jeffrey Mayer’s fantastical exhibition Marie Antoinette: Styling the 18th-Century Superstar on October 16.

The Museum Shop also offers one-of-a-kind gifts and fascinating art works created by local artists.

Details on a few of the things offered in October:

Mix It Up! Art Classes (Ages 4-12)
Session I: October 4, 11, 18, 25
Session II: November 1, 8, 15, 22

Projects will offer young artists the opportunity to experiment in a variety of media. Students will explore the galleries to find paintings, sculptures, and ceramics that will offer inspiration for creating original works of art. Classes are held in the Art Zone on the lower level of the Museum.
