From a spiritual perspective, I'd like to recommend:

Illusions - by Richard Bach. A short "messiah" parable that's very thought-provoking.

The Celestine Prophecy, and The Tenth Insight - by James Redfield. Recently made into a movie, it's the kind of tale that makes you wonder - "what if this really were true?"

The Call, The Invitation, and The Dance - by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. A trio of books that lead us to examine how we relate to and interact with the people in our lives, and why we make the choices we do.

The Prophet - by Kahlil Gibran. In my opinion, probably the best epic poem ever written, dealing with every aspect of life from birth to death, love, marriage, and home.

Dr. Rob, It's great to have all these resources and I appreciate your interest in lifelong learning. I read a book that I thought people might find useful. It's by Dale Carnegie and it's called How to Enjoy Your Life and Your Job. It includes many tips for living that are generalizable to everyday life. Best always, Gloria.
