Some like it, some don’t :)

Autumn in NY is such a beautiful time of year. Some people look around and enjoy the colors of the changing season and others only see that winter is on the horizon. I love the weather in NY … in all of its four seasons. To me, Autumn means warm food, cool crisp air, comfortable sweaters and the anticipation of that first snowflake blowing in the wind.

I know, I said it, that four letter word s-n-o-w. I’m over 40 years old but each winter I can’t help but feel like a child again as I anticipate the first snowfall. I have so many great childhood memories and a good portion of them occurred in the winter.

As luck (or fate) would have it, several years back our quickly growing family stumbled across a puppy that captured our hearts. A black and white Siberian Husky with ice blue eyes that howled at us when we walked by.  Of course we had to have her and  shortly there after we purchased a male, liver and white, Siberian Husky.

Now that last paragraph probably seems a little off topic, if there is one, living with these 2 Siberian Huskies for the first year I realized how perfect we all were for each other. You see it’s in the Winter season that a Siberian Husky will truly “come alive”. You have to see it to believe it, but the very first crisp cool morning they wake up and behave like they have a new lease on life. They run around twice as much as they did during the Spring and Summer and really anticipate the first snow fall.

Long story short … we can’t wait for the snow to fly :)
