- Eat a pint of organic blueberries instead of a donut or muffin
- For congestion and mucous, incorporate lots of red pepper, turmeric, cumin and garlic in your cooking
- Replace mayonnaise in recipes with plain organic yogurt
- Take the paper towel challenge: for a month, try using hand and dish towels instead
- Serve fresh cut pineapple instead of chips ʽnʼ dip
- Bypass the vending machine and brew yourself a pot of loose, organic herbal tea. Bodum.com has neat tea pots and presses.
- Convert your favorite dessert recipe by replacing white sugar with honey, maple syrup, agave or black strap molasses - or try no sugar at all.
- For healthy lungs, open your windows, unplug air fresheners and drop them in the toxic waste bin
- Just Say No to artificial anything, i.e., Aspartame, Sweet n Low, Splenda, MSG, FD&C dyes
- Dance, walk or do yoga!
