Tree Pose - Vrkshasana

Benefits:

  • builds concentration and focus
  • reduces stress - it is nearly impossible to worry and remain balanced at the same time
  • develops strength and stability in the feet and ankles
  • stabilizes and strengthens both the superficial and deep hip muscles
  • increases overall body strength

Verbal Cues:

  • focus on your breath
  • find a point some where in front of you to focus on
  • soften your gaze and breathe deeply
  • repeat the pose on the opposite side
