About  Duk Lost Boys Clinic:

Prior to the clinics inception, pregnant women had to walk up to 75 miles during labor to deliver and as a result many would forgo treatment and thereby not survive.  A medicine that costs $5.00 recently helped save a child’s life.  The Clinic was built by the American Care for Sudan Foundation  founded by John Dau and is located in the village he was forced to flee during the Sudanese Civil War.  Dau is one of the “Lost Boys” of Sudan whose own struggle to survive is documented in his book and the film God Grew Tired of Us:  A Memoir.

The new sets of recyclable totes are great! Everyone is offering them now! What is interesting is seeing how things are really changing in our mindsets. Green has gone Mass…Which is a good thing.

Now we just gotta get people to start to bring their totes with them in stead of buy and collect them in the closets!

I agree those totes are great. Its very good that people are taking the planet more seriously, that can only lead to good things. I’ve been to Skaneateles on vacation by the way, very beautiful place in the summer.

Funny, I just noticed that the only other commenter is also named Red…haha.

They walk 75 miles during labor? Oh my god, that’s horrible!
